O.M.G

So Avatar: The Legend of Korra premiered this morning, and I watched it, and I'm so happy!!! It's been like what? Two years? since they announced a second Avatar series and now it's finally been released on Nickelodeon!

Avatar is by far one of my favorite cartoon series on the planet. Animation is beautiful, it has a steady story line with comedic relief in between, and of course, characters you just fall in love with! <3 How good is it with only two episodes released in a one hour premiere? Pretty. Freaking. Sweet.

For those completely slow with what The Legend of Korra is, let's summarize.

The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the Hundred Year War where Avatar Aang and his friends won over Firelord Ozai. New Firelord Zuko worked with Aang to bring all the four nations together to create a fifth nation known as the United Republic of Nations, with a capital called Republic city, where benders and non-benders coexist in peace and harmony.

Aang eventually married Katara and had three children with her, one of which would go on to become an airbending master. Sadly, Aang passed away due to spending too much time in the Avatar State when he was frozen that drained a lot of energy. Yet the Avatar cycle continues to the next Avatar who will be a young girl of the Southern Water Tribe named Korra.

Korra's a rebellious, hotheaded 17-year-old girl who loves nothing more than to be a powerful Avatar. Bending came natural to her at a young age as she could bend water, earth and fire. While she has mastered those three elements, she has yet to learn air and how to connect to the Spirit World. Neither of the two come naturally to her because of her completely opposite personality (Like when Aang struggled with earthbending).

She travels to Republic City to learn from Aang's son, Tenzin, to learn airbending and to master it. Yet while getting sidetracked to get to the Air Temple in Republic City, she has become aware that some benders abuse their power on non-benders and as a result, an anti-bender revolution led by a mysterious man named Amon is inevitable. Now Korra has to work with new friends if she is to master becoming a full-fledged Avatar and bring the world back to balance.

So yeah, this is already a good series! And this is just the first two episodes!

Like The Last Airbender, it holds a good plot, has great characters and not to mention a beautiful animation style. This definitely looks like this is gonna be a fantastic series that I know I and other fans of Avatar will love! Check it out if you haven't yet! <3
