I'm no Superman

So this week off has been a bit boring. But I've had some good stuff happen as well. All of vacation I've accomplished:
1. Watching all of Titanic
2. Finish reading The Dangerous Days of Daniel X
3. Finish reading Witch and Wizard
4. Start and finish Current Event for this month for Biology
5. Finish movie for Spanish
6. Help throw a surprise party for my mom
7. Go to a baby shower
8. Bowl

I think that's in the wrong order but whatever.

So my mom's turning forty tomorrow and we threw her a huge surprise party yesterday. Of course she had NO idea that was coming. My step-dad, Isaac, had been planning for about three weeks for this. Ex-marine that he is, all went according to plan. Me and my sister were going to the "movies". Which of course meant going to neighbor's house to set up for party. Balloons, posters, signs, you name it, we had it. All of our friends came over of course with presents and food galore. Come 2:30 we all crammed into one room and waited for my mom to come in.

She thought she was just going to the neighbor's for a nice early dinner. We all shout surprise when she was in sight, and she began to cry. And more tears came when she saw the guest of honor: Her friend Carrie from Indiana. Carrie came the night before and stayed at one of our friend's house. All arranged by Isaac. It was a great party. Ate to my heart's content and started to get a tummy ache when I began eating the cake. Was so exhausted when I got home. And it wasn't even eight yet. So I got on Netflix and added eight out of nine seasons of Scrubs. Didn't add the ninth season because of course if you're a sane person you know as well as I do that it sucked without all the cool characters.

As for today, we went to a friend's house for a baby shower. I played with the kids mostly and turned them into cats. Hahaha. Of course not literally. The adults played some games. My family won a cookie cutter shaped like a duck. And now I'm at home blogging and like any other person in America now watching the Oscar's.

List of dresses of celebrities I wish to steal:
1. All of Anne Hathaway's dresses
2. Amy Adams
3. Helena Bonham Carter
4. Nicole Kidman
5. Natalie Portman
6. Every other actress that has a cool looking dress

Blaaaaaa

So Monday come and gone. Bored out of my mind cause it's vacation!

We get a week off for President's week. Used to just getting a three day weekend but an entire week is nice too. Hahaha. I'm really bored though so.. Probably should go out to the mall or something. I dunno. I'm going to a friend's house this Thursday to work on an oral presentation skit thing and we have to record it and put it on a DVD. Guess who has the technology to do all of that stuff? Me. My brain's going to be fried.

Yesterday my family went to a friend's house to play Pictionary. Did boys versus girls and girls won. It was a very entertaining time. Mango salsa and hot chocolate make it all great.

Today I just watched T.V, wrote some and read a little bit of The Dangerous Days of Daniel X. Oh, and I tried to fry an egg and succeeded. It was yummy with Louisiana hot sauce.

Woooaah, What the Hell?

Title is a song by Avril Lavigne. Anyway.

Had a good Valentine's Day. Got a homemade Valentine from my friend Jamie and a rose from my friend Andreas. Been having a busy school week. Just a lot of work the teachers are throwing at us before break. I have to work on an oral presentation with three of my friends for Spanish. And we have to make it in our spare time and put it on a DVD. Holy BeJeebus I haven't had my brain this scrambled since finals week. We have to come up with an entire script and each person has to have ten lines each. Excluding me since I'm the video editor/filming person. I just get extra credit for being two people. Hahaha.

Aaaand... That's about it for now. Just getting a nice load of homework before a week long break. Yes. We get an entire week off in February. It's for president's week. Least I can sleep in for an entire week. Then go back to school feeling like a zombie. Hahaha.

Just Keep Swimming

Had a really good week. It was homecoming week which was a little bleh. Bleh meaning boring and not oh so interesting. I got sick on Tuesday so I couldn't show my fake head wound to a lot of people. I'm doing much better now. Just spent that day at home with my sister (also got sick) and watched RuPaul's Drag Race. Went back to school the next day feeling good. Nothing like a swig of Pepto to get rid of an upset stomach.

Nothing else uber interesting this week. Been working on a watercolor painting of what I think the Jabberwocky looks like. As of now it's a nice pretty orange mess. Hahaha. Been super bored in P.E as usual and... that's about it.

Oh and we had a rally on Friday that messed around with our schedule and everyone had to see it. It was okay but I was on the verge of falling asleep. Each class did a skit with the themes they had for homecoming. Everyone had Pixar movies. Freshmen were The Incredibles, sophomores were Monsters Inc., juniors were Finding Nemo, and the seniors, of course, had Toy Story.

Freshmen skit was okay. One guy fake punched another kid in the face which was some nice comic relief. Sophomore skit didn't really catch my attention. Junior skit was funny at one part and then it died cause their CD decided not to work and they didn't try to fix it. The senior skit was the only thing that really caught my attention cause it's Toy Story. What can I say?

Overall I was just thinking the entire time, "Can I eat yet?" There was a lot of dancing but people just looked like they couldn't dance. Yes, I'm picky when it comes to people dancing. I'm just waiting for something super impressive and cool to happen and when nothing does I go, "That was it?" So yeah, I'm a picky person. Hahaha.

Sooo.... nothing really happening this weekend that I can think of. Think my parents are going out to a shooting range later today. And... That's all she wrote. Hahaha.

Weeee~

Had a good weekend. Slightly busy thanks to prepping for the Superbowl. And man was it crazy. One house filled with fifty people. A nice portion of those people under the age of eighteen. Oh, and four small dogs. Preparations for a Superbowl party in my house. Sherry cake? Check. 196 Jell-O shots? Done. Taco and Nacho buffet? Check. Three television? Yes. One T.V outside? Check. And, of all things, one television in the bathroom? Check. People brought food and sodas as well. Lasagna, chocolate cake, veggie chips, the works. Just what you need when you're coming over to our house for a football party. Especially if it's the Superbowl.

Loved the Superbowl. Cheered for the Packers till they won. Sorry Steelers fans. Loved the commercials of this year's Superbowl. Doritos and Pepsi MAX all the way. I kinda died when I saw the commercial for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I cannot wait for it to come out. It's one of my favorite movie series. I'm a bit disappointed that Orlando and Keira aren't gonna be in the next movie. Oh well.

Back to school. It's spirit week once again. But today was super boring. It was pajama day and it killed my expectations. Apparently you were only allowed to wear Sobrato pajama pants which was stupid to see five people wear the same pajama pants. So today was a disappointment. But tomorrow is fake an injury day. Gonna have a lot of fun with that since I plan to wear and eye patch. Hahaha.

Sooooo Tiiiirrreeeedd

So flipping exhausted...I wanna just crawl in my bed and never come out..

So Sunday I went out to a hotel restaurant place with my family to see other family. It was brunch time and God was it just divine. Had my first Eggs Benedict which was just Heaven in my mouth. I've been craving for another one since then. Man, I've never seen the day when a brunch buffet served sushi. Yes, sushi. The also had a dessert table which really wasn't that great. Ever had that happen? The desserts look super pretty but then it turns out to taste like crap? That's what happened. Everything was bland. Even the tiramisu wasn't great. Just drowned in rum. Not exactly the best taste in your mouth. Soggy tiramisu. Had that happen to me in Costa Rica when I went to a fancy hotel. Had a shot of tiramisu. Was drowned in rum..but anyway.. The only good thing on that dessert table were the chocolate dipped strawberries. It was like crack.

This has been a bit of a long and rather confusing week. Monday went by like normal. Tuesday and today, Wednesday, just all over the place. It's CAHSEE testing for the sophomores. It's required in the state of California so they could pass. It's really just basic math and English from elementary school. Even though the questions are changed each year, it's basically what's the square root of four. It's not that hard. Yet it's a really big deal if you want to graduate high school.

So thanks to the CAHSEE exams, the entire school schedule goes all over the place. Two hour classes galore. I actually don't mind that much about block schedule, but it's pretty boring when you're stuck in a classroom with nothing to do. Especially when you had just finished the recent Women's Murder Club book you got from the library and you can't think straight to write. And I really don't enjoy two hours of P.E. Hate it so much. Thank goodness I can take Dance next year in place of P.E. Oh, and thanks to the late start I didn't get any time to get started on my Geometry homework. I gotta stop being a lazy and find something to carry my textbook in so I don't come in my house with back aches and wanna take a nap until six at night. Oh well, least the CAHSEEs are over with. Can go back to my normal school day schedule. Hahaha...

I kinda feel a bit bad for people out east. The whole snow blizzards and ice storms. Or as they call it on Facebook: Snowpocalypse. Schools have been shut down and all sorts of food is going from Wal-mart shelves. I talked to my uncle, Chris, on Skype the other day. He's twenty-two with his own apartment and job and he told me that all the college kids came in and just took all of the frozen food. All the fresh food was still there but the freezers were just empty. It's kinda sad that people don't know how to cook and resort to frozen foods. But anyway. I've seen video footage on the news of Chicago and I see just feet of snow and cars covered in ice. No kidding. Even Florida's getting weird weather. One of my dad's Facebook statuses said something about tornado warnings. I'm a bit surprised myself.

So California has to have decent weather and I feel just a little sorry for my friends out east. Worst California has as of now is the fog in the mornings and the cold. And by three in the afternoon it's in like the 60's. Hasn't rained in a few days. So the day the mid-west of America is covered in snow, I'm sure most people will move out here. Just a thought from yours truly.

Well that's all I have to write for now. See you guys in a couple days.

XOXO,
Liz
