Zombies + Bunnies = Easter...?

Finally, the day has come. The day where Jesus rose from the dead and we celebrate with rabbits breaking and entering into our homes leaving rabbit droppings or chocolate for your kids..

Again, how a Christian celebration and a German pagan tradition coincide with one another to create a huge American excuse to mass produce chocolate, I'll never know. But hell with it. We don't question these things and just go with it no matter how weird it is. We never question Jesus's birth and a fat Nordic guy going into your home and putting presents in your socks so why should we question Easter?

Well anyway, my start to my spring break has been nothing but laziness though I should be getting my homework out of the way so I don't procrastinate like an idiot. Also we're getting in hardwood floors which is gonna be fun so we don't have to do much vacuuming downstairs.

As for fun stuff, today we're going to a friend's house for dinner and game night and by this week I hope to finish Mockingjay and some stories I'm working on. Wish me luck!

Chim Chiminy Chim Chiminy Chim Chim Cheree

So I was watching Mary Poppins yesterday and this came to me as I was watching the Step in Time dance scene. What if it was done as a flash mob?! I looked up on Youtube and the only Mary Poppins flash mob I've seen was in Germany or something to the Broadway version of Supercalifragilisticexpialidoscious. But here's the full scene if no one has memory of the Step in Time scene.

Now would that be a cool flash mob or what?! You'd just need the perfect time and place to do it since quite a number of people would be needed to dance to this particular song. But it'd be amazing and fun!

Anyway my vacation is drawing to a close and it's mostly just been pure laziness. I still have Algebra 2 homework to do which is super easy anyway and I finished my Spanish stuff.

My mom's birthday party was yesterday and I still find it hard to believe that she is turning 41 on Tuesday. We had friends over and we gorged ourselves with cake and tacos. And boy that was some good cake! I will be enjoying the sweetness of that cake tonight.

And today we had a rehearsal though everyone went to the band room because some people were still working with lights. That didn't keep me from helping with set building... sorta. I was left for an hour and half with no help because the two guys I'm working with forgot and slept in. Luckily I spent that time painting a palm tree since I can't do much else. Add on to that, we're running out of plywood and some of the paint we have is as old as time itself and we can't use it. It doesn't help that we're falling behind because there are only 19 rehearsal days left, barely anyone else shows up and the two guys I do work with mess around which is slowly decreasing my patience with them... Hopefully the people I call tonight will actually show up to help us, or maybe this week the guys I'm working with will pick up the slack and stop goofing off. Ugh, I can dream can't I?

Well that's all for now folks. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will be a good week.

XOXO,
Liz

I'm sorry I've been reduced to a couch potato

Finally, the one week vacation I've been anxious for has finally arrived. I've been wanting this vacation for a loooong time and now it's finally come. It's only Sunday and it's already been a good vacation... I know it's probably gonna get sucky when I gotta do some homework which honestly is super easy.

Saturday was a rehearsal day so I went to help the guys to build the set which we need three different sets for the three acts of The Boyfriend. Had to leave for an hour for a dentist appointment for a quick cleaning and came back.

Our set's looking good so far with the progress we got and I hope we keep that up until the musical opens next month. Hopefully we'll still have people come in to help because the past week was NO fun without help.

I was stuck one day without help until 4:30 and even when someone came we had nothing to do because for the most part, we need the table saw to work with and only one guy knows how to use it and he was stuck doing an English project without telling anyone else. On top of which, people who signed up for set building AREN'T showing up, but it's part of their grade with them being a part of the drama class. So jokes on them. We had some guys show up on Thursday but they're only able to work with us on Thursdays... We also have a sign up sheet where people put their names AND numbers on them, so I texted them to show up and only ONE guy responded and he said "Nope". Think I'm happy cause of that? Of course not. Maybe I'll try calling them when we get back if we're not getting anything done...

But I digress.

After rehearsal, Marina did a bit of shopping at TJ Maxx and we went to a Chinese place in Gilroy for dinner which was amazing! I ordered Vermicelli Duck Curry Soup and it was spicy heaven! I've never had duck before and it was really delicious. After dinner, we went to Barnes and Noble where I purchased The Hunger Games! Everyone's been saying that it's good so I thought I'd check it out especially with the movie coming out next month and obviously the book is always better than the movie.

Hey is it weird that I want to check out Twilight and just read it to see what's so great about it? I'm just curious...

Anyway, today I did absolutely nothing but sit on the couch like the vegetable I am.

As for plans for the rest of my vacation, I'll be seeing The Secret World of Arrietty with friends as a group thing for Anime and Manga club. And... that's pretty much it.

XOXO,
Liz

Oh how I miss the summer weather...

Well I've been back for a week and I've been really tired and lazy to post anything on here along with my teachers being evil and assigning a crap ton of homework already. But anyway...

So after a flight to Denver and then another flight the next day, we came to San Jose, Costa Rica. My uncle, aunt and cousin were already there with a rental van and picked us up from the airport to take us to our first destination which took the entire day. For my first meal we stopped at a small restaurant along the way and I ordered beef tongue. Yeah, sounds gross but it's actually really good. If you ever had a Salisbury steak it tastes like that but with a chewy texture. We arrived at our hotel (which really have cabins for rooms) super late at night.

The next day we took a hike to Rio Celeste. Yep, that picture of the waterfall. The water is literally blue. It was worth the painful hike and all the bugs biting all over my legs. Got tons of pictures. After seeing that we went on another hike to this place called Aguas Termales where there's a hot spring where people can go in and relax. Though you gotta watch for where you get in cause certain parts of it are super hot! I learned that myself and it hurt a lot. Doesn't exactly help that along with that I'm completely out of shape and was completely exhausted from hiking; one of the things I'm horrible at. Luckily it was worth it at the end of the day when I had my stomach filled with a good meal and a shower.

We went to our next destination at a hotel by the beach for New Year's. We went to the beach around sunset and played in the water for two days and picked up a bunch of shells too. New Year's wasn't really a good night for me due to the fact a bunch of college kids on their vacations happened to be there too gathered in huge groups on the beach with bonfires and launching fireworks less than ten feet away. With my sensitivity to sound, doesn't exactly help me. But we wanted to stay until midnight and we did and that's when everyone went crazy with the fireworks as we hurried to get the car. Wasn't really a good night for me but it was good when we got back to the hotel. And happily the next night was quiet as we went out for pizza.

And once again afterwards we were on the move to another resort by another beach which was almost all inclusive but still good. Nothing like relaxing in the sun for three days with buffet food. Very relaxing indeed. Very friendly place with iguanas and raccoons too apparently. Saw one raccoon just walking around looking for food.

We took a ferry across the way to get back to San Jose faster without having to drive through the mountains for seven hours. We stayed at my grandma's house for the remaining days of our vacation. I got to spend some Christmas money in San Jose and I got myself a new purse. And later we all went out to see bullfighting that they show on TV in Costa Rica. It's really amazing (and kinda ridiculous) cause people just get in the ring and try to avoid the bull as much as they can. It was kinda scary too cause I did in fact get to see people get run over and head-butted by the bull in their stomachs. Even girls went up too but they were facing a cow! Some got it so bad they had to be carried to the first aid station. Luckily no one dies at these things so it was okay. And of course we did get harassed by carnies at one point which was actually pretty amusing and funny.

And so one week later we're back in America and starting up our second semester of school! Happy belated New Year!

Vacation my love! It's been too long!

So finals week is over and thus Christmas Vacation has begun!

All my finals were ridiculously easy which I find quite surprising seeing as how I thought they would be a challenge. Out of boredom and curiosity I looked up the finals that were posted online. English I got an 85% on which kinda surprises me cause I thought I did a bit better. Think I'll go into regular English for next year since this is the only class I get a B on and it's a bit challenging. Anyway, I got a 94% in Algebra 2 which I only think I got some wrong with definitions that I were totally clueless on but I'm glad I aced that final. Spanish was an 86% though I really thought I did better on it. Probably had some difficulty on the listening part... ugh.. Hate stupid CDs I can't understand to save my life. And a 90% in Dance for performing a tap dance with a group to a rap about the play Othello. Weirdest song in the universe.

Good news is this is MUCH better than last year's finals which I got C's on that I wasn't too proud of. Hopefully my Chemistry and World History Finals get good results too.

So now it's vacation. Other than the New Year's trip to Costa Rica and a get together with friends not much else is happening. Drama club's planned a Christmas party tonight and it'll be nice to hang out with friends before going into the jungle for a few days.

I got a package from my dad today with presents for me and my sister. Marina got a book by Terry Pratchett and I got two journals for writing. Y'know it's kinda funny who I'm so passionate at writing but when people ask what I write I instantly get shy about it. I don't know why that is. I've been writing since the eighth grade and only shared my works with few people. I dunno, I just wish I could be more comfortable with telling people about my passion without feeling like an idiot when telling the plot of the story I'm writing.

Well anyway that's that. Think I'll end this post with some quotes that are on the journals I received.

"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." ~ Edgar Allan Poe
"Peace is always beautiful." ~ Walt Whitman

*Belch*

So far vacation's going great. Kinda boring since I really have nothing to do but I get to sit around and watch anime and random movies all day.

My sister's boyfriend got his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday so he's been chilling all day here with us. Amazingly enough he only needed anesthesia and woke up a little dizzy instead of being totally loopy. He's really limited to what he can eat cause of the pain and his gag reflex doesn't really help with his appetite. So before dinner he only had Jell-O and Jamba Juice. But he's doing much better.

We had an early Thanksgiving dinner since last year we had no left over turkey. My mom bought two turkeys: one for the party tomorrow and one for us. She cooked one of them for us, made stuffing, mashed potatoes and our cousin brought her amazing mac and cheese for us which is totally to die for. My eyes were a little more hungry than my stomach seeing as how I only ate half of my dinner. At least I got some left overs.

Now we have Thanksgiving tomorrow and my only food before dinner that day will probably be some toast since we have amazing cooks for friends.

Also today I went to the library and got some books for a report in English. Luckily I just have to bring them though I should start reading one or two of them now while I have the chance. We have to write a report about current topics to talk about since it's been done in literature over the years, including Shakespeare where we just finished reading Julius Caesar. Miss Ireland gave us a great range of topics to choose from and I got quite a few ideas what I wanted to do and when it came down to finding some books my choices were narrowed to one topic: Teenage pregnancy.

I think it'd be a fun topic to talk about seeing as how it happens way too often. What I really hate about teenage pregnancy is the media glamorizing it to make it appear that nothing bad will happen if you get pregnant at sixteen when in reality, your life really spirals out of control when it happens. Like shows such as Sixteen and Pregnant and Teen Mom. Do you think those girls are happy that they're sacrificing the joys of being a teen because they have to take care of a child? If I was in their position, it'd suck big time. It's because that stuff is scripted so these girls appear happy to have to care for a baby until it grows to a young adult. I mean movies it's obvious to tell that it's a movie and it's not real and some of these girls are having a really crappy time trying to go through school with a stomach the size of a planet. I don't know why some people get ideas from movies that it's okay but TV shows really mess with people's heads.

It's hard to tell on reality TV if it is reality or if it's completely scripted so the audience will like it. My mom heard that on a show called Real Housewives of something she can't remember that a guy on there committed suicide and it was real. That's a big issue since reality TV screws with our perception on what's real and what's totally fake. It's why I never watch MTV because I know it's all fake and most reality TV I never watch because I'll assume it's scripted to the audience's liking. Sorry Jersey Shore but your show is really stupid and having your skin orange isn't exactly attractive.

I seriously have a tendency for going off on rants. Hahaha

Cue the Final Fantasy Victory Music!!

So I'm so happy to say that I'm done with my English summer assignment! Now all I gotta do is print it and I'll be the happiest person in the world!

Now that I'm finally done with my English homework I gotta pick up the slack and work on my Spanish homework that I've sadly ignored since my Yosemite trip. Luckily it's just verb stuff which thank God that I have an entire book with just verb tenses and what not. So I can easily breeze past that and study up a little bit before school which starts in nine days.

Now today me and my sister were supposed to get our Whooping cough shots, but since it's stupidly expensive to get them at Walgreens, our mom's gonna schedule an appointment for tomorrow at a doctor's. And thank goodness for that since I watched Intervention just last night and saw a lady inject crystal meth in her arm.

I was pretty disgusted when I saw that, cause I was like, "What makes people do this?" This woman was picking skin off her face and it was just plain scary. I'm still amazed people consider doing drugs making them "happy" when in the end, they just look disgusting from all the damage it is doing to their body. It's convinced me enough to never do anything stupid like that.

Anyway, yesterday I saw the movie The King's Speech and I just loved it. It's about King George VI and his struggle with his stammer when he sees speech therapist, Lionel Logue. It's a really great historical film and very enjoyable even when Colin Firth bursts out swearing. I have to say though it's really hard to adjust to Geoffrey Rush when he goes from a pirate with a "scraggly beard" to a formal and clean Australian speech therapist. I really recommend this movie for anyone. And other than swearing, it's not that bad of an R-rated film.

So this Friday, me and my sister have our orientations and schedule pick-ups. Hopefully I'll have the same classes as some of my friends so we can work on homework together. And this year I've been told that there's gonna be a newspaper club and I plan to join that and hopefully no one will go crazy on the freedom of speech thing and get the club shut down.

Back to the Beach

So yesterday me, my mom, my step-dad, my sister, and her boyfriend went out to Capitola for a nice day of relaxing at the beach. On the way we took a little detour to a small Croatian bakery and deli and bought a nice load of Polish sausage and some other Croatian goodies. And just tasting Polish sausage for the first time in over a year is just pure and utter bliss. It's like meat candy whenever my grandparents gave some to me or Marina. Never thought I'd miss it so much.

After the detour, our GPS took us out to God's country for whatever reason and it took an hour longer to get to the beach. I didn't mind so much though I did have a full bladder for quite some time.

We just chilled on the beach. Didn't bring my camera cause I didn't know how much battery I had. Roamed the beach a bit and picked up some shells and rock. I even found granite. See lots of kids make sandcastles out in Capitola. Oh, and I did see a group of girls use a long piece of kelp for a jump rope. Very nice to go to Capitola in the afternoon.

As for today, we went to the mall for a little bit of clothes shopping for school. Didn't get as much as I thought I would, but I did get a tank top from Macy's and a Hetalia T-shirt from Hot Topic that I couldn't live without.

And now my mom's making dinner for our neighbor's coming over later.

Laziness and Homework

Haven't been having too many events happening recently. My days have been consisting working on my summer assignments and watching Soul Eater via Netflix. I got brownie points from my anime guru Travis for finally watching it. Will get a review on Soul Eater as soon as I can.

As for my summer assignments, I'm slowly progressing my way to finishing them. Mostly focusing on my English 10 assignment cause it's ridiculously long...Kinda reminds me that I need to figure out how to get the computer hooked up to the printer so I'll be able to print stuff.

So next week is me and my sister's orientation and schedule pick up for school. On top of which we still need our Whooping Cough shots. Still not looking forward to that. Oh well, as long as it's being done by a professional who knows how to handle a syringe, I'll be fine.

I still find it funny how our first day of school is on a Thursday and then a couple days later we have the weekend off. Least we get some time to get used to a new year. The only sucky part: Last day of school is on June 8th. Why we have ridiculous vacations, I'll never know.

I believe I can flyyyyyyy

Don't ask about the weird title.

So on Thursday, me and my family flew out (in a small airplane that my step-dad can now fly for fun purposes since he got his pilot's license) to Santa Ynez down south from San Jose and got a taxi to a small Dutch like town of Solvang which would've been an almost four hour drive but instead was a one hour flight. We got some lunch and then just went around looking through all the small shops, mostly antique stores which are always fun to look at all the old stuff.

Then later that afternoon we flew north to the Oceano Dunes for a few minutes and we luckily got there in time for the sunset which was just gorgeous. Got a bunch of shells that washed up on shore. Then we flew back to San Jose and got a late dinner at Wendy's which I haven't had in over a year. Their fries are awesome!

So nowadays my mom's friend Carrie from Indiana has come over for a visit and my mom's been hanging out with her. They went to Napa Valley yesterday. We went to the Gilroy Outlets today and I got a couple shirts from Forever 21 and a cup of Starbucks hot chocolate. The entire town of Gilroy smelled of garlic because of their Garlic Festival but when we went last year it wasn't as well as I anticipated other than getting garlic fries. They even had garlic ice cream which wasn't uber great. Anyway, we went out to Chevy's for an early dinner and came home.

Tomorrow's gonna be the first day of August and I have less than three weeks to finish my summer assignments. I've finished reading all the books I'm required to read and have started on the whole typing up and searching for meanings and what not. Really really should get on that. Oh, and me and my sister still need our Whooping Cough shots so we can even go to school which I'm not psyched for at all. Out of my phobias one of them has to be needles for medical and drug use. Always makes me shudder when I see it on TV.

On another small note I finally got access to Netflix for the first time in forever and added a crap ton of anime to it. Cannot wait to get on that.

Liz

A Day of Highlights

So yesterday I went out with my friend Andreas to a popular amusement park in San Jose called Great America. After living here for over a year, I wonder why my family hasn't gone. Oh well.

I hung out with Andreas the whole day. He dragged me on a roller coaster called The Demon which I kinda didn't enjoy too much since I'm not the hugest roller coaster fan ever. Though I was glad he didn't take me on the roller coaster where you stood up the whole time. Rode some normal rides and we rode bumper cars twice and the carousel twice. I got to ride a pig the second time I was on the carousel and me and Andreas pretended to be an arguing couple when we rode together the first time in the bumper cars. Had some pizza for a late lunch and after walking around for a little bit we went home.

Now here are the so called highlights I had in my day.

Highlight #1: Buying a pink octopus with a skull face
Highlight #2: Hearing a guy scream "THANK GOD! CENTRIFUGE IS CLOSED!" at the top of his lungs in his joy that a ride was closed for technical difficulties.
Highlight #3: Roaming all over kingdom come to get out of traffic cause the freeway was closed to an explosion of a truck that killed a guy (Found out on news).

So that was a good day, and I'm glad I went to Great America.

I can't believe how close the new school year is. I'm almost done with my summer assignment for English 10, and I should start memorizing verb tenses for Spanish 3. Though we start school on a Thursday of all days which is a little weird. Oh well. Probably should get to my assignment and finish reading Anthem.

XOXO,
Liz

It's official!

I'm back online thanks to my uncle Chris!

Now that all is kosher, here's what has been going on in my summer since my Yosemite trip.

After Yosemite I wasn't really doing much of anything. Since the computer died all I had to do was read, play video games, watch Scrubs, and take an occasional walk around the neighborhood. And of course Fourth of July. Went out with my family and some friends to see fireworks at a golf course and then went to a block party a couple days later.

Afterwards, my friend Mikayla's sweet sixteen came up, so obviously I went. My sister's present was belly dancing at her party for her which a lot of people got a kick out of. Even her boyfriend, Garrett, dressed up so Marina wouldn't feel like the only one left out cause it was a formal party and everyone else was dressed up in fancy dresses and what not.

The weekend afterwards, my friend Jamie invited me to a Potter Party at her church, and am I gonna pass up an offer to hang out with my friend before school starts? Of course not. It was really fun cause we played a fun version of Quidditch, went out to Taco Hell for lunch (dressed up), and watched all of the first seven movies. Quite literally. I passed out three times during this marathon of Potter madness. By the time we finished the first part of Deathly Hallows it was like seven in the morning. Totally worth it though.

After going to our friend Jenn's 40th birthday party, we went to San Francisco and picked up Uncle Chris. His first meal in Cali consisted of Togo's and Jamba Juice which he loved. Did a ton of sightseeing which included Monterey Aquarium, Japan town (mostly in search in food), two rose gardens in San Jose, and the small beach side village near Santa Cruz called Capitola. I had a great time hanging out with my uncle. He even got me and Marina a Bamboo tablet for drawing and stuff which I'm psyched to finally be able to use. And me, Marina, Garrett, and Chris got to battle each other in Super Smash Bros. Melee which is the most fun thing ever.

I'm kinda sad though cause Chris had to go back to Indiana today and I'm gonna miss him a lot. Oh well, hope to see him again someday soon.

As for the rest of my vacation, it'll mostly likely consist of more block parties, playing video games, reading, and, of course, finishing my summer projects... And I'm now NOT psyched about that. Heheheh...

Liz

Quick update

So I'm kinda sorta back but as of now my uncle's out with my mom looking at some technological stuff that hopefull will fix her laptop and we can use it again. Then I'll be able to share what's been going on during my summer since Yosemite and I probably won't do a blog post about that cause I just lost my patience for it. And yes there will be some pictures too.

But while I'm on here and no one else seems to be waiting for computers I'm gonna update my anime review blog and get something new up there.

For anyone interested in checking out my other blog it's right here: http://otakusloveforever.blogspot.com

Hope to see you again super soon!

Hiatus period... sorta

Omigod it's been so long since I last got on. I'm so so sorry!

For anyone wondering, no my Yosemite trip didn't last for two weeks. It only lasted a weekend but I think I'll do a separate post for later cause I won't have much time on here.

So basically my mom's computer kinda died for the moment. It's trying to fix itself with ye old Windows technology and it's not working at all. My mom took it to BestBuy yesterday but it was gonna cost a decent load of money to fix and get a program to keep it from going crappy for like 200 bucks a year which to be honest we'd end up buying a new computer.

Luckily my uncle who's gonna be coming over in about two weeks is a computer geek extraordinaire and could fix her computer in like five seconds for free. Now sadly cause he can't come over any sooner we're gonna be left without Internet access excluding my mom cause she has a Blackberry.

So again I'm really sorry for the lack of updates and if anyone was expecting pictures of Yosemite but I promise to type up a post of the trip and some photos.

As for my life right now my only Internet access is at the library for an hour each session. Along with that I've also been reading, writing, drawing and playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. So with my session ending in fifteen minutes don't expect a lot of posts from me for a while.

So much foooood

So today was my step dad's birthday party. Had a ton of friends over which also included five fluffy dogs. My mom outdid herself again making great lasagna and getting an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and all sorts of other side dishes. T'was a pretty good time.

So as usual, nothing's going on. At least until this weekend. That's when me and my family go to Yosemite for the weekend. I just remembered I need to get a new camera chip for this trip since the one I have temporarily only holds seventy pictures. I hear it's nice in the summer so a new camera chip's in order.

Started on my summer assignment a few days ago, going to the library and gettingAnimal Farm. I already know what happens since I saw the 1991 film in the seventh grade when we were talking about the Soviet Union, but it's obviously better to read the book. And I also need quotes for what I need to do so it's not like I can just pull stuff out of my butt and expect an A. Still got a couple months so no pressure.

I seriously need stuff to do that doesn't involve me being alone all day playing Super Smash Brothers Melee. That is unless I have some friends over to play with. Probably should do some of the library stuff for the teen summer reading program and meet some people. Well anyway I'll definently think of something.

BANZAI!

School is finally out for the summer!!

After a long stressful week of final exams, it's worth it when I get to hang out after school signing yearbooks screaming "Banzai!" So glad my first year of high school's finally over.

Kinda sad though that my Japanese exchange friend, Akane, has to leave over the summer back to Japan. She was my first friend and if I didn't meet her I wouldn't have met any of my anime obsessed friends I have now. I'm gonna miss her a lot.

So that was my week. Finals, finals, and more finals, and then of course signing yearbooks and random scraps of paper. That was my last day of school. As eventful as it's gonna get.

Came home after being bored for a while and began watching anime and still going. Mushi-Shi and D. Gray-man all the way.

As for starting up my summer I don't really have too much planned. Gonna go to a friend's house next week for a party aaaand that's about it. Desperately need something to do other than watching anime on Netflix. Sigh.. Will think of something eventually.

Bye Bye Vacation

So I start school up again on Monday. Didn't do much during vacation. Just played Pokemon White, watched T.V, this and that. Went out to Monterey yesterday but didn't do much. Just drove around, had lunch, and bought some shoes for my grandmother. I did come across a Plato's Closet and did some browsing. Only got two shirts and a pair of Capris though. I definently need to fill my closet and drawers with more summer-y clothes cause they're loaded with jeans and old shirts. Hopefully I'll get some time either tonight or tomorrow to go out to the mall.

Out of all my teachers, my Spanish teacher gives homework over break. We had to either do a video or make a poster and present a recipe of anything, obviously, in Spanish. I'm in Spanish 2 as of now and plan to continue taking it throughout the rest of my high school years... Well to Spanish 4 AP if possible. Hahaha. It's pretty convenient cause since my mom married my step-dad, Isaac, I'm with a lot of Spanish speaking relatives and friends. I still get nervous when someone speaks to me in Spanish. Heheheh. It's kinda like all the knowledge I have in Spanish goes out my brain. Oh well. I'm still learning and maybe I'll be able to speak it outside of the classroom and project videos soon.

Yesterday I went to a friend's house with my family and had dinner with a bunch of friends. It's really fun sharing stories with adults. It was kinda sad though that I revealed that the Cookie Monster was changed into the Vegetable Monster when two girls were coloring in a Sesame Street coloring book. I was a bit shocked myself when I found that out just a couple years ago. I mean it's not a T.V show's fault that children are obese. When you think about it, the parents are the ones that provide them unhealthy food. Not that it's bad but when you buy your kids fast food almost every day then that's just pushing it. I still eat fast food but only once or twice every two or three weeks. Stuff like McDonald's and Burger King isn't food that's supposed to be a daily meal cause it's not healthy. Most meals families have should be homemade. It's healthy and delicious.

That was my little outlook on life moment. I'm gonna finish watching Matilda and enjoying the smell of my mom cooking.

XOXO,
Liz

*explosion*

FINALLY! It's Spring Break! And yes California's weird cause they have their spring breaks in late April instead of late March. I've really needed a vacation after STAR testing stupidity.

Our last two days of testing were pretty easy. Just Math and Biology. No biggie. Though it was pointless to have school today when we just had two days of tiring block schedule and testing. And teachers giving homework over vacation? I mean what the heck's with that? We all deserve a break from thinking hard and trying to get good grades. Give our brains a rest. The only homework I got was from English, Geometry, and Spanish. English and Geometry were done in class. Spanish, I have to do a video so of course I gotta do it over break.

Biology, we started watching a video called The Miracle of Life. Yes the same video they show in high school of a baby being born. Fun stuff. We haven't gotten to the part where the baby's been born due to a short class but we gotta continue it when we get back. Not gonna look forward to that but am looking forward to the people around me squealing like girls. Hahahaha.

So for my Easter weekend/spring break I have no idea what I'll be doing. My mom did say something about going out to Monterey Beach or something. But other than that nothing I can really think of now.

XOXO,
Liz

Blaaaaaa

So Monday come and gone. Bored out of my mind cause it's vacation!

We get a week off for President's week. Used to just getting a three day weekend but an entire week is nice too. Hahaha. I'm really bored though so.. Probably should go out to the mall or something. I dunno. I'm going to a friend's house this Thursday to work on an oral presentation skit thing and we have to record it and put it on a DVD. Guess who has the technology to do all of that stuff? Me. My brain's going to be fried.

Yesterday my family went to a friend's house to play Pictionary. Did boys versus girls and girls won. It was a very entertaining time. Mango salsa and hot chocolate make it all great.

Today I just watched T.V, wrote some and read a little bit of The Dangerous Days of Daniel X. Oh, and I tried to fry an egg and succeeded. It was yummy with Louisiana hot sauce.

XOXO,
Liz

I get a thousand hugs from 10 thousand lightning bugs

A few days ago me and my family went out on a little adventure. Mostly consisting of going out to wineries. Actually all of it consisted of going out to wineries. It was a really good time for me and Marina. Crazy photographers we are. Just love how beautiful it is. So this blog is more of a photography sharing blog post.

Yeah, my vacation days have been sleeping until ten in the morning and watching T.V and what not. Tomorrow we're going to a friend's house for a New Year's party. Argh, I'm so tired..I don't even stay up that late...that is unless midnight is considered late. Well I'm gonna go back to talking to people, watching Scrubs, and then passing out in my bed.

XOXO,
Liz
