It finally works!!

I mean the Home Access that allows me to see my grades. It's been down for about a week or so, so some people aren't able to log in. But luckily it now works so I finally get to see my report card! I got all A's and one B that's from Advanced English. I'm really proud that I'm doing well especially in Algebra 2. It's much more easier than I thought it would be... Let's just hope that won't be jinxed cause that'd be really really terrible.

So this past weekend I went to my friend Jamie's sixteenth birthday party and had a lot of fun. We played (violent) ping pong, made pizzas, and walked to Starbucks.... Some of us were cosplaying at the time which was quite fun but luckily we got no weird stares or anything. After getting Starbucks we went back for present time and cake. And let me say this: It's not everyday you get Happy Birthday sung in four languages on your birthday. That's why I love my friends. While being sung in English, it was also sung in French, Spanish and Swedish. And God was that the best chocolate cake ever!

So for this week.... Crap I just remembered I need a shirt for Wednesday to make a shirt for GSA. Well other than that I made an Anime Jeopardy! game to be played tomorrow and hopefully this Thursday for drama we figure out what to do for tech stuff. Oh, and it's Anti-Drug week so people dress up and stuff again.

No Vacation till November

Yeah doesn't make me for a happy Liz. Heheheh. Our next day off is our three day vacation for Veteran's Day.

My friend Nora's birthday party was the best. We played The Beatles Rock Band, devoured pizza, and played some drama games. Best birthday party so far!

So back at school, started some choreography in dance, test in Chemistry, more Antigone in Advanced English 10 and of course the irritation of people who don't seem to care if they need to repeat Algebra 2 or Spanish 3.

Today was the first anime club meeting which I've been anxious for since school started. We did elections and began discussing what we'll do this year. I feel like this will be a great year for the anime club.

Tomorrow is Back to School night where the parents get to meet the teachers and find out what is being done in our classes. Will be a little crazy since my step dad will be too busy to help us divide and conquer so we'll just have to jump back and forth between me and my sister's classes with our mom. I feel like we'll go more to Marina's classes than mine since she's a senior and leaving once she's done with high school but then again I am staying here so my classes are just as important.

And today I went to the library and I finally got the book Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher. I heard it was a good book. It's about this boy named Clay as he listens to the tapes created by the late Hannah who committed suicide not too long ago and finds out the events that lead up to her death. I'm already almost halfway done and close to tears. It's a really really sad book but really great to read and opens people's eyes to some of the harassment that some people face and feel Hannah's pain. Definitely not a book you wanna read during school if it makes you really sad during class and makes you cry. I feel like that'll happen to me. Heheheh. But again, really awesome book. Check it out the next time you're at a library.

So much foooood

So today was my step dad's birthday party. Had a ton of friends over which also included five fluffy dogs. My mom outdid herself again making great lasagna and getting an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and all sorts of other side dishes. T'was a pretty good time.

So as usual, nothing's going on. At least until this weekend. That's when me and my family go to Yosemite for the weekend. I just remembered I need to get a new camera chip for this trip since the one I have temporarily only holds seventy pictures. I hear it's nice in the summer so a new camera chip's in order.

Started on my summer assignment a few days ago, going to the library and gettingAnimal Farm. I already know what happens since I saw the 1991 film in the seventh grade when we were talking about the Soviet Union, but it's obviously better to read the book. And I also need quotes for what I need to do so it's not like I can just pull stuff out of my butt and expect an A. Still got a couple months so no pressure.

I seriously need stuff to do that doesn't involve me being alone all day playing Super Smash Brothers Melee. That is unless I have some friends over to play with. Probably should do some of the library stuff for the teen summer reading program and meet some people. Well anyway I'll definently think of something.

Official birthday!

As of 2:20 this morning I am officially fifteen years old.

Had a pretty good day despite the depressing weather. Got to see a rainbow much later in the day. Had a lot of people wish me a happy birthday and I felt happy. A lucky day makes a happy Eliza. And for dinner I went out with my family to a Japanese steakhouse called Kyoto Palace. I love how when we go to a Japanese steakhouse for someone's birthday somewhere else in the restaurant someone else is having a birthday as well. It's really funny.

I've been coming up with an answer to an age old question: Mac or PC? Now I understand that Macs are useful for art and filming, but for everything else it's crap. I dunno why they had to make it so difficult to look for an application like Word Document. Plus the mouses look weird and you can't scroll or right click both of which are convenient. And why does the power button need to be in a weird place on a Mac desktop? Was someone not paying attention while making it? I dunno.

I just kinda came up with that mini debate cause I got upset at anime club when I couldn't play the anime I brought on a Mac. Sigh.. Wish the school had money for computers that worked but they spend their money in the stupidest of ways like throwing away 10,000 dollars (That they don't even have but get it from prom tickets costing 110 dollars!) to have prom on a boat in San Francisco. They even opened a junior/senior prom for freshmen and sophomores because they weren't selling enough tickets. Well no duh cause you made them 110 bucks! You think people have that kind of money besides the rich kids? It'd probably be easier to have prom in the gym with the tickets at 40 bucks. It may not be uber glamorous but at least you'll still have money to do other stuff and you'll actually have a lot more people go to a prom.

The school also wastes their money on posters. Now they keep saying they have paper shortages. So where do they get the money for the endless amount of book covers and the posters all over the campus? Hm, interesting. The book covers are pointless because they eventually start falling apart as the school year progresses and they don't even do anything anyway. And the posters, how many people actually look at them? They just get torn down, rained on, and trampled on so it's just a waste.

Sigh. School has a weird way of doing things. Oh well.

Birthday Party Weekend

Rest of my week has been pretty good. Nice weather and strawberry fruit pops all the way.

My school's drama class is doing their own production of the musical Guys & Dolls. My sister's an extra in the musical as a Hot Box girl. She got in by making seven aprons for one of the Hot Box scenes. Me and my family went on opening night on Thursday. Best three hours ever. Very funny and very cute. Loved it all.

The musical still going through till tonight. They did the musical yesterday and are doing it twice today with the last one being part of closing night. So my sister has barely been home all week. They practice like there's no tomorrow and come opening night they give it their all. It must've been worth it though.

Yesterday was another Food Fair and the anime club once again sold Pocky. We didn't sell it all mainly cause we had a lot more than we did at the last food fair. We got to cosplay again. Had a lot of fun.

So I was left home alone cause my mom and step dad just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary. And yes they got married on the first of April. No joke at all. There actually almost wasn't gonna be a wedding cause they got married at the courthouse and the judge went home for the day. But luckily the judge came in time and they were married.

So for today and tomorrow we're going to birthday parties galore. We have two today and one tomorrow. So our weekend's a bit packed. Still wanna go to Barnes & Noble to get ANGEL.

I'm no Superman

So this week off has been a bit boring. But I've had some good stuff happen as well. All of vacation I've accomplished:
1. Watching all of Titanic
2. Finish reading The Dangerous Days of Daniel X
3. Finish reading Witch and Wizard
4. Start and finish Current Event for this month for Biology
5. Finish movie for Spanish
6. Help throw a surprise party for my mom
7. Go to a baby shower
8. Bowl

I think that's in the wrong order but whatever.

So my mom's turning forty tomorrow and we threw her a huge surprise party yesterday. Of course she had NO idea that was coming. My step-dad, Isaac, had been planning for about three weeks for this. Ex-marine that he is, all went according to plan. Me and my sister were going to the "movies". Which of course meant going to neighbor's house to set up for party. Balloons, posters, signs, you name it, we had it. All of our friends came over of course with presents and food galore. Come 2:30 we all crammed into one room and waited for my mom to come in.

She thought she was just going to the neighbor's for a nice early dinner. We all shout surprise when she was in sight, and she began to cry. And more tears came when she saw the guest of honor: Her friend Carrie from Indiana. Carrie came the night before and stayed at one of our friend's house. All arranged by Isaac. It was a great party. Ate to my heart's content and started to get a tummy ache when I began eating the cake. Was so exhausted when I got home. And it wasn't even eight yet. So I got on Netflix and added eight out of nine seasons of Scrubs. Didn't add the ninth season because of course if you're a sane person you know as well as I do that it sucked without all the cool characters.

As for today, we went to a friend's house for a baby shower. I played with the kids mostly and turned them into cats. Hahaha. Of course not literally. The adults played some games. My family won a cookie cutter shaped like a duck. And now I'm at home blogging and like any other person in America now watching the Oscar's.

Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy

I don't know what P. Diddy feels like in the mornings when he wakes up but I hope it's like me on a Saturday morning. Tired and groggy from a night of dancing with friends for 3 hours.

This has been a pretty good week. We've just been prepping for finals for next week. So now my brain's a bit dead. Especially earlier this week from my sugar rush from hell. I was still hyper by Wednesday afternoon and then I crashed at nine at night and I woke up at one in the morning and didn't get back to sleep until three. I don't even remember falling back asleep.

Friday was a good day. Other than me eating a lot of ice cream and getting called the break up girl in Biology, it was also our winter formal. I got my hair straightened and my mom made me look so pretty. Jamie and Akane came over and we made Akane look like a Japanese Lucy Liu. She looked so cute! And it was her first formal too! We chowed on some pizza and took some pics and after Marina's friend, Mackenzie, came over we went to the school for some dancing.

Other than people looking all fancy schmancy, this dance wasn't so much different than the back to school dance. Yeah...there were people grinding on each other at this one too. Don't know how anyone thinks that's attractive but...okay..? Oh, and there were people outside the gym sticking their tongues down each other's throats. Cause that's hot in any way, shape, or form. I danced with my friends (obviously no grinding) and ate some food. Man, my feet hurt so much that night. Better I wore flats than heels, right? I dunno.

I was so tired when I got home. I only stayed up for another hour watching Babies (best movie ever by the way) and then I went upstairs and passed out at midnight. Then, I slept for ten hours.

I'm going to a friend's birthday party today. So this probably means I'm gonna pass out by like eight tonight. Hahahaha.

RAIN!

Finally David Bowie answers my prayers for rain! Being from Indiana, I'm used to it raining about every other day. Being in California, now I'm limited to rain at a certain time of year. Well today was the day it has decided to actually rain and not sprinkle. So I'm very happy for that.

Last week in school, it was the school's homecoming week which was pretty cool. The only interesting days were twin day, camouflage day, and mismatch day. The other days were represent your class and school colors so..yeah. Mismatch day was a lot of fun cause it gives you a reason to dress ridiculous and no one questions it. I got to wear knee high rainbow socks with blue converse which made me really happy.

Had a field trip to a wetland place of sorts (don't remember name hahaha..). It was really cool other than seeing a decapitated rat in the middle of a trail. Dissected an owl pellet (sorta) and got to see some freaky stuff through a microscope. Loved that so much more than I probably would have back at school. It was the day of the homecoming parade which I heard wasn't any good and everyone was forced to watch it. Guess it's a good thing I went on that field trip. Didn't go to the homecoming game cause I have no attention span for high school football. That and if you boo you get in trouble and if the entire crowd boos the entire team forfeits..which is a really pointless rule. Also I went to a birthday party.

Birthday party was for our friend Jenn's sister, Giselle. Me and my mom brought salsa, mango salsa, and guacamole...all magically disappeared probably within the first hour we came in with it. The cake was chocolate with raspberry sauce and it was awesome. Got to meet this two adorable kids named Kuliano and Nyala...and yes those are their names..Kuliano's a boy and Nyala's a girl...Now I regret not kidnapping them cause they were so cute!!

Aah..nothing like spending your Sunday inside watching the rain fall and watching football...that is unless you're like my friend Raven who's ticked cause she can't watch the Simpsons. Saw the Eagles game and the 49ers game and am about to watch the Colts game. WOOT!
