Merry Turkey-mas

My family went to a friends' house to have a big dinner with family and friends. We made a lot more turkey than we needed and we had a lot of other food too. Along with the turkey there was ham, mashed potatoes (with cheese!!), sweet potatoes, rolls, gravy, salad, my mom's mlince which is to die for (Croatian dish that's basically tortillas burned a little over a flame and then has turkey drippings in it. Pure bliss), and pie. Prior to dinner, all I had was a piece of fruit and some Coca-Cola. No joke. I really wanted to save up for the mass amounts of food to come and it worked. Had room for seconds and two pieces of pumpkin pie. And sadly watched the 49ers lose their game against the Ravens but whatever.

Like sane shoppers my family is, we took no participation in Black Friday. I really don't see a point because people are crazy to get items for cheap at a small stock. It's nothing but pure insanity. People are trampled to death because other people want to get in the store first and I just saw on the news a woman used pepper spray and injured ten people for an XBox 360 at half price. I mean seriously?? You're gonna injure/possibly kill people for a stupid electronic for your kid? How stupid can you get?! It completely amazes me how Black Friday is still in existence to this day. People start fights and some are trampled to death to get some item of their desire for a super low price.

If there's something that barely exists in the 21st century it's common sense.

So the day of giving thanks is over and now it's the season of jolly and holly and other things ending with olly (Reference to The Hogfather for those who don't get it). My mom got me and my sister to get out all the Christmas stuff and now the tree is up, decorated, and giving me a headache due to the tremendous amount of lights; most blinking in crazy fashions. We have new stockings, multiple decorations chilling around the house, and eleven small trees, one of which has a Purdue University theme, are scattered about the house. Even the palm tree in our house has green lights on it.

I don't really want too much for Christmas. I mean just some sort of materials for writing and drawing, shopping money, and love from my family and friends is all I will really need. Not going anywhere during the Christmas season but on New Year's my family will be going out to Costa Rica.

Oh God I just remembered I have school on Monday. No biggie though. My only assignment was to get some books on a current issue for a report and I did so everything's peachy keen. But everything will be crazy in the upcoming weeks due to finals coming up in just a few weeks. Thank God the play's over so I can finally get some proper sleep knowing I got my homework done on time.

Forgetful Lucy

Yeah was watching 50 First Dates yesterday.

Weekend time again where I chill, do my homework, re-watch movies on my DVR, and Sunday football.

The week ended a little tiring but good... and slightly frustrating.

I got really upset when I got a sixty percent on my last Algebra 2 quiz. And I'm at the state of paranoia where my grade in that class is an eighty percent and a single grade in anything could mess it up badly for me. It doesn't help that I ended the eighth grade with a C minus in Algebra 1 either...

My thing with math is that I know how to do the problems, but it's the tiny mistakes that really screw with my grade. Like subtracting something when I really should have added something or making a number that isn't the original equation, and I look it over and assume it's correct so I think nothing else about it. It's a terrible habit to have and I really, really need to fix it this year.

What made it worse is that when the teacher said there were make ups I didn't hear the part that they were only for people who weren't even there. I find that really unfair because I actually want to do good unlike people who probably could care less about their grade.

Whatever... Now I just gotta fix my test taking habits and hope that the next test doesn't bring down my grade.

On the bright side, Friday was also Club Day where everyone signs up for clubs they want to join. Anime Club went off with a hit and we had 24 people sign up which was awesome! Really great day for anime club. We cosplayed, played some music and had an awesome table of anime and manga stuff. I say great success.

I signed up for the Drama Club along with like 70 other people cause my sister wanted me to join and I was interested. Funny thing is the first play only has ten roles and a likely chance that most of those people are going to want to audition. Luckily I plan to do tech since I haven't acted since I was..... When was my dance class's production of Alice in Wonderland? .... Well it's been a while so I kinda have some stage fright with acting and stuff. Will stick with techy thing-a-mabobs.

And this weekend is like the same before: Relaxation and homework... And Sunday football.

Liz

Nyanyanyanyanyanyanyanyanya

Go to nyan.cat and watch.

Quick first week back at school. My English class is reading Romeo and Juliet, I'm doing a speaking final and starting a poster project in Spanish, painting a collage in Art, doing nothing in P.E, working with bacteria in Biology, and working with surface area and volume in Geometry. Very, very hectic first week back.

Bright side is that it's Friday and that means weekend time to relax. My family's going to a friend's house later tonight for a (belated) Cinco de Mayo party. It's a bit crazy how a lot of people in California make a big deal about it compared to Indiana who's like, "Whatever". Heh..

I think this weekend I'll be doing what I normally do: draw, write, text friends, and watch T.V. Oh, and add on thinking of ideas for summer. My friend, Jamie, will be gone all summer doing job stuff and going to her sister's wedding so I'll be left here with everyone else and I'm still thinking of ideas and stuff cause other than going to Yosemite and my uncle coming over I'm doing nothing else. Sigh.. Oh well. Still got a few weeks. And I have another week till my birthday party which will be the most insane birthday party ever. Hahahaha.

Obsession with J-Pop

J-pop: Japanese pop music which is really awesome! With me being bored at home I have nothing else to do but get obsessed.

Day one of vacation. Good Friday. Did absolutely nothing but watch T.V, play around on Facebook, text, and play Pokemon. Kinda gonna be bored with it being Easter and friends doing possible religious stuff for the weekend. Hopefully I'll be going out with a friend or two during the week.

Oh and today me and my sister, Marina, accidentally drugged up our cat, Kline. We were giving him his first bath ever since we got him and he was already freaking out. He jumped out of the sink three times and was "meowing" loudly. I use quotes due to the fact he sounded like a gremlin. So we used dog shampoo on Kline cause Marina figured it wouldn't cause any harm to him. Keep this in mind: it's lavender and mint dog shampoo. So once we start lathering him up with it, he starts tripping like there's no tomorrow. Jumped out of the sink two more times until we rinsed off all the soap. And afterwards he was just avoiding us and hid under Marina's bed. So I'm telling my mom all of this via texting and she said the cat was freaking out because he was stoned. So it was then me and Marina learned that mint makes cats trip and to read labels before possibly drugging your cat. That was an eventful day. At least he smells nice.

Also did some spring cleaning today as well. Found some old stuff. Did a bit of rearranging. And Marina let me take some books of hers that she wasn't reading anymore so I have a nice little book collection I gotta get through. Hahahaha.

And I saw on the news of Lindsay Lohan going to jail and rehab for the third time. It's like, are you setting a record here or just proving that rehab doesn't do crap Lohan? I blame childhood fame for it. Britney Spears was part of the Mickey Mouse Club and look at her. Once was a really famous pop singer and now she's back trying way too hard. Sorry Britney.

And Miley Cyrus. Who can forget the ordeal a few years ago with her song "Can't be Tamed"? Boy did people go ballistic. Same thing happened with Britney. She's not gonna do Disney forever. Let's just hope she doesn't end up having her career spiral into the toilet.

Let's face it. Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake are the only members of the Mickey Mouse Club whose lives are perfectly fine. Because they didn't let the fame go to their heads. Just saying.

Friday Check-up

This week's been pretty good. I've been writing haikus all week in my journal so that's been fun. I'm actually almost done editing a story that I've been working on for a few months. I actually showed some haikus to my English teacher and he gave me a sticky note to see a teacher cause she does some work for a literary magazine or something. Haven't checked it out yet, but will next week.

My art class has been fun. I finished my pointillism project on Monday and have been working on sketches for our next project. We're gonna draw a Jabberwocky from the Lewis Carroll poem and what we see the Jabberwocky as. Then we're gonna take coffee and/or tea and make our picture look old. Gonna have so much fun with that.

Oh, and earlier this week I watched a documentary called The Anatomy of Hate. I'll do a separate post about that cause I got bored and wrote another opinions of the world thing. So my next post will be like the one I did about MTV.

Gonna have friends over tonight for dinner. Not much else going on for the weekend as far as I know.

XOXO,
Liz

Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy

I don't know what P. Diddy feels like in the mornings when he wakes up but I hope it's like me on a Saturday morning. Tired and groggy from a night of dancing with friends for 3 hours.

This has been a pretty good week. We've just been prepping for finals for next week. So now my brain's a bit dead. Especially earlier this week from my sugar rush from hell. I was still hyper by Wednesday afternoon and then I crashed at nine at night and I woke up at one in the morning and didn't get back to sleep until three. I don't even remember falling back asleep.

Friday was a good day. Other than me eating a lot of ice cream and getting called the break up girl in Biology, it was also our winter formal. I got my hair straightened and my mom made me look so pretty. Jamie and Akane came over and we made Akane look like a Japanese Lucy Liu. She looked so cute! And it was her first formal too! We chowed on some pizza and took some pics and after Marina's friend, Mackenzie, came over we went to the school for some dancing.

Other than people looking all fancy schmancy, this dance wasn't so much different than the back to school dance. Yeah...there were people grinding on each other at this one too. Don't know how anyone thinks that's attractive but...okay..? Oh, and there were people outside the gym sticking their tongues down each other's throats. Cause that's hot in any way, shape, or form. I danced with my friends (obviously no grinding) and ate some food. Man, my feet hurt so much that night. Better I wore flats than heels, right? I dunno.

I was so tired when I got home. I only stayed up for another hour watching Babies (best movie ever by the way) and then I went upstairs and passed out at midnight. Then, I slept for ten hours.

I'm going to a friend's birthday party today. So this probably means I'm gonna pass out by like eight tonight. Hahahaha.

HUG ME BROTHER!

Thanksgiving was really good. We had about thirty friends and family come over. Lots of food too. Turkey, ham, stuffing, pie galore, the works. Gotta love Thanksgiving. It's one of the many reasons I don't go anorexic. Food's just too good. That and if I don't eat my stomach's yelling at me which gets annoying and it kinda hurts. Hahaha. I also had my adult friend Sharon teach me how to knit and now I'm hoping to make a beret. So excited!

I am one of the sane Americans that stayed home during the Black Friday madness. I don't really understand it. Stores only sell limited amounts of items. You have to be there at like 3 in the morning which in a teenager's point of view I'm asleep. That and there are people that get KILLED during that. I like to go shopping, get what I came for, and get back home alive. Not be stuck in a war zone. Just from my perspective as a fourteen year old girl.

So I'm spending the rest of the day in my house watching T.V and knitting. Possibly drawing and reading. Oh, and my mom straightened my hair. Hahaha.

Liz

POCKY!

Happy belated Pocky day everyone! In case you don't know, yesterday was the celebration of the most wonderful creation the Japanese has made, since anime! Okay, random moment over..

This was a really good week. We had school off on Thursday for Veteran's day. What did I do? Hmm..Make some Tye-dye T-shirts, sleep, eat Panda Express..not much really. Just a typical day off from school. Though I don't know why we had Thursday off and had to go today and now it's the weekend. I think it would've made more sense to give us a four day weekend. So today kinda felt like a Monday and now it feels like it's really Friday.

Today, my friend Natasha brought Pocky for a fiesta in Spanish class. 200 sticks. First 10 minutes, gone! It's good stuff I'll tell ya. Did not make a happy Jamie when I told her that All I saved was the container for the Pocky with nothing in it.
Second meeting of Red Moon Cosplay today. We talked a little about skit ideas and such. Quite a productive meeting I must say. Don't think anything is really happening this weekend so I'm gonna sign off with the usual.

Liz

No soup for you!

Come back in two weeks....I'm not quite sure I just have that quote in my head. Anyway..

Yesterday, my friends Jamie and Akane came over for a while. We had a large pepperoni pizza and went out to the park. With Jamie cosplaying as Deidara-sempai from Naruto of course..cause she brought the stuff over and we were bored. I got to wear the Akatskuki cloak which is very comfy. Then we came back home, played around with belly dancing stuff, and ended the night with the second Bleach movie. I was so hyper that night...I think it was the surplus amount of grapes I was eating.

Nothing special today...lazy Saturday in the house hold. Two more days of weekend including Labor Day. Wish we could have three day weekends all the time..but since we can't I guess we'll have to deal with going to school on Mondays.

Liz

Almost Friday

The school week is almost over finally. This week's been a little crazy. I stayed home from school on Monday because I felt really horrible. Sore throat, phlegm, sinus headache, the works. I'll tell you, being sick while you're in high school and having to make up work is no fun at all. Elementary and middle school is a piece of cake, but high school is a lot more work. Anyway, I still have a bit of a sore throat and a sinus headache but I think a Nyquil to knock me out and a good night's sleep will make me better.

Today was interesting..if three fights at school counts as interesting. Not full on any details but there was a girl fight and two boy fights. It apparently got a bit aggressive with one of the boy fights hearing that someone got bloody. I didn't actually see any of the fights but I'm glad I didn't cause I don't know what happens when you turn thirteen. You get all these hormones and things go crazy. Oh well, that kind of stuff was somewhat normal for me with me being from a "ghetto" school.

Tomorrow is Friday, which means me and my sister are having our friends Jamie and Akane over for some party silliness. Good night!

XOXO,
Liz

La~

So yesterday, me and my sister went out with some friends a couple streets down from where we live. Went out to the lake on their boat. Me and my sister went tubing and I kinda screamed the entire time cause I'm a bit pathetic like that. Oh, and Marina tried to wake board but unfortunately, she did a bit of a face plant. Then, we stayed at their house, trying to beat their son, Ryan, at Little Big Planet, and making a very delicious blueberry pie. Parents came over for dinner and we all had some awesome pizza and of course the blueberry pie.

Today was the usual sit at home and watch T.V kind of day. Well, until after we ate dinner. Me, Marina, and our mom went out to the mall to do a bit of back to school shopping. And we kinda wandered around the mall looking for more places to shop and just to see what's in the mall. And then we came home listening to 80's music. Yeah, that's pretty much been our Friday. Don't really have much planned this weekend. Gotta remember to ask my mom to go to the library so I can return a couple books. Gonna spend the rest of the night probably watching stuff on Youtube. Night!

Love and Kisses,
Liz
