Sweet lord almighty hooray for weekends!

One work induced week later, here's the weekend!

Not much to really report in. Just a normal week I usually have with school work and tests. I had my chemistry teacher recommend me for AP Chemistry for next year. Still thinking whether to take it or not. Been really antsy for a few days as I'm slowly finishing editing one of my stories I've been working on for over a year. I really, really love how it's coming along as I edit it from crap to pure genius!

My story is called Fixing a Broken Heart and it follows 14-year-old Erica Parker becoming friends with outcast, Zack Carter. As the two become friends, she learns of his dark and depressing past and the horrors he lives with now. Can she get him to come to his senses and run away from those horrors?

Um... Yeah that's about all I can give out without spoiling it. I think it's a really good story and I've gotten positive feedback about it too from my DeviantART watchers who read it. Maybe I can get it out to my readers of my blog.

Well, that's all for now anyway. Gonna watch anime for the rest of the night.

XOXO,
Liz

Vacation my love! It's been too long!

So finals week is over and thus Christmas Vacation has begun!

All my finals were ridiculously easy which I find quite surprising seeing as how I thought they would be a challenge. Out of boredom and curiosity I looked up the finals that were posted online. English I got an 85% on which kinda surprises me cause I thought I did a bit better. Think I'll go into regular English for next year since this is the only class I get a B on and it's a bit challenging. Anyway, I got a 94% in Algebra 2 which I only think I got some wrong with definitions that I were totally clueless on but I'm glad I aced that final. Spanish was an 86% though I really thought I did better on it. Probably had some difficulty on the listening part... ugh.. Hate stupid CDs I can't understand to save my life. And a 90% in Dance for performing a tap dance with a group to a rap about the play Othello. Weirdest song in the universe.

Good news is this is MUCH better than last year's finals which I got C's on that I wasn't too proud of. Hopefully my Chemistry and World History Finals get good results too.

So now it's vacation. Other than the New Year's trip to Costa Rica and a get together with friends not much else is happening. Drama club's planned a Christmas party tonight and it'll be nice to hang out with friends before going into the jungle for a few days.

I got a package from my dad today with presents for me and my sister. Marina got a book by Terry Pratchett and I got two journals for writing. Y'know it's kinda funny who I'm so passionate at writing but when people ask what I write I instantly get shy about it. I don't know why that is. I've been writing since the eighth grade and only shared my works with few people. I dunno, I just wish I could be more comfortable with telling people about my passion without feeling like an idiot when telling the plot of the story I'm writing.

Well anyway that's that. Think I'll end this post with some quotes that are on the journals I received.

"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." ~ Edgar Allan Poe
"Peace is always beautiful." ~ Walt Whitman

(Insert Explosion Here)

Weather's been awesome all week. It's supposed to be in the eighties tomorrow and that means I get a reason to wear a dress!!! Hahaha. Really excited. Once again more of the same old school work and pains in my side from running in P.E.

Been starting on a draft for a persuasive essay against a school uniform policy. I'm pretty sure I did something like this in the eighth grade but whatever. I like writing. Haven't done any recently because I've been so wrapped up in reading.

I recently finished the book FANG. It's part of the Maximum Ride series. I was about to cry at the end. So now I'm super desperate to get the next book, ANGEL. It came out on Valentine's Day so it's been out for a while. Even long enough to be in every library in the county. Here's my problem: 85 holds. Only 46 copies of the book. Check out time is three weeks. I was about to die when I saw that. So I have to resort to going to Barnes & Noble to get a copy, like, now. It's a bit of a way of life for me.

Friday Check-up

This week's been pretty good. I've been writing haikus all week in my journal so that's been fun. I'm actually almost done editing a story that I've been working on for a few months. I actually showed some haikus to my English teacher and he gave me a sticky note to see a teacher cause she does some work for a literary magazine or something. Haven't checked it out yet, but will next week.

My art class has been fun. I finished my pointillism project on Monday and have been working on sketches for our next project. We're gonna draw a Jabberwocky from the Lewis Carroll poem and what we see the Jabberwocky as. Then we're gonna take coffee and/or tea and make our picture look old. Gonna have so much fun with that.

Oh, and earlier this week I watched a documentary called The Anatomy of Hate. I'll do a separate post about that cause I got bored and wrote another opinions of the world thing. So my next post will be like the one I did about MTV.

Gonna have friends over tonight for dinner. Not much else going on for the weekend as far as I know.

XOXO,
Liz
